The Coordination Office for Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection in Business (KEK) is now offering Berlin companies free consulting and networking opportunities. A special added value is created by the SME detailed consulting on site.

With the Coordination Office for Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection in Business (KEK), a new free service for Berlin companies was launched on February 28, 2022. The KEK team of experts – a consortium of ÖKOTEC and VDI/VDE-IT – advises, mediates and networks interested companies on the topics of energy efficiency and climate protection.

“I am very pleased that a milestone from our 100-day program is already being launched today. The fact that energy efficiency and climate protection pay off has been internalized by many Berlin companies and proven by their savings successes. However, planning and implementing energy efficiency and climate protection projects is often a challenge, especially for small and medium-sized companies. This is where the KEK comes in. Starting today, it will provide Berlin companies with individual, neutral, free and unbureaucratic support in taking concrete steps toward energy efficiency and climate protection. In thin way, Berlin can achieve its climate protection goals together with the companies.”

What the KEK offers you

The range of services offered by the KEK as a central point of contact for Berlin companies includes basic advice on general information about energy efficiency and climate protection and on suitable funding programs, individual SME detailed advice, and exchange and networking opportunities. The detailed SME consulting service, which is also free of charge, offers particular added value: in a customized consultation, energy efficiency and climate protection potential is identified, project ideas are fleshed out, or the profitability of possible measures is assessed. This individual support shows companies what steps can be taken toward energy efficiency and climate protection and what added value could be created. Round tables and networks for energy efficiency and climate protection enable companies to exchange ideas with experts and like-minded people and to exploit synergies.

The importance of energy efficiency and climate protection is also demonstrated by the Berlin-based company Moll Marzipan GmbH. Dr. Armin Seitz, Managing Director: “Energy efficiency pays off for us! That is why we have been part of the Berlin plus network for over 10 years and are continuously working on our energy and climate balance.

The aim is to further enthuse Berlin companies for the topics of energy efficiency and climate protection and to identify and leverage dormant savings potential in their companies. Not only can resources be saved, but energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions can also be significantly reduced. Interested companies can find out more and contact the KEK on its website.

The CEC is managed by a consortium of VDI/VDE + Innovation und Technik GmbH and ÖKOTEC Energiemanagement GmbH. Your contact persons at KEK are Jakob Brückner and Sebastian Abel (VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH) as well as Dr. Kirsten Kubin and Mareike Rösler (ÖKOTEC Energiemanagement GmbH).
