More energy efficiency through networks
The Moll Marzipan Berlin factory site identified significant savings measures through network participation with initial energy consulting, energy concept and accompanying of project implementation. The implementation of the energy concept took place in particular in the areas of insulation, cooling and regulation.
The Challenge
With over 80 employees, Moll Marzipan GmbH produces marzipan paste and persipan paste as well as almond preparations. The company has been ISO 50001 certified since 2015 and is continuously looking for new possibilities to optimize energy performance.

- ÖKOTEC supported the implementation of selected measures in a targeted and needs-based manner, especially in the areas of heating, cooling and regulation
- Optimization of the roasting plant by adjusting speed control of the air intake valve. Determination of the setting parameters, metrological support during commissioning, and success monitoring
- Identification of uninsulated steam and thermal oil pipes with significant heat loss and calculation of the savings potential; insulation was then installed by insulation supplier
- Metrological examination of the cooling supply as the basis for a needs-based division of the cooling circuit into two temperature levels and an increase in the proportion of free cooling
