Pinch analysis: “We want to make the static method dynamic”

ÖKOTEC experts Knut Grabowski and Georg Ratjen explain what is meant by a pinch analysis and how they are developing it further in the current R&D project Food Pinch in an interview with the trade magazine DLG.

The aim of the project is to be able to adapt the thermal networking of the processes to changing heat requirements and temperature levels at any time, because of that the costs for heat supply is kept to a minimum at all times.

Food Pinch is a four-year research and development project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
