Intelligent and automatic plant control with EnEffReg

Automatic plant control with EnEffReg

Our EnEffReg research project has confirmed: Efficiency-based automated control of plants is possible. The software-supported system continuously monitors plants for energy efficiency criteria.

The software-based system continuously monitors plants for energy efficiency criteria and goes a step further where classic energy monitoring ends. With the help of artificial intelligence, the settings are approached with which the plants run as efficiently as possible.

EnEffReg thus improves “not only the view of the plant, but also its operation,” says Dr. Dombrowski of Bayer, one of the project’s three application partners. In addition to Bayer, Daimler and thyssenkrupp Steel Europe have tested EnEffReg during operation. The expected savings were already realized at many plants during the project period.

Our application partners, as well as many other companies, have already installed measuring devices on the relevant systems and are using software for energy efficiency controlling. These are the foundations for implementing efficiency-based automated control with EnEffReg.
