Head of Sales (m/f/d)

For more than 20 years, ÖKOTEC has stood for intelligent solutions to reduce energy and resource consumption for industry and commerce – since 2016 also with our main shareholder Veolia. With our business activities, we make a significant contribution to limiting global climate change, to the success of the energy transition and to the decarbonization of economic activity. We support our customers with various consulting services and with our self-developed software solution EnEffCo® for energy efficiency controlling.
As Head of Sales, you will inspire our national and international customers with ÖKOTEC and our exciting and market-oriented product portfolio. You will be responsible for the entire sales process from lead generation to order acquisition. In your role, you will lead a qualified and successful team and report directly to the management.
What the role entails
- Support of selected key accounts for up- and cross-selling
- Acquiring new customers on the basis of our extensive contact network
- Developing and implementing sales strategies and process optimizations
- Leading the sales and project management team of 6 people
- Contributing the customer perspective to the further development of our portfolio; working closely with Marketing + Communications, Business Development and our subject matter experts for software and energy efficiency
What we are looking for
- Completed degree in the field of engineering, economics or natural sciences
- Several years of B2B sales experience (account management and new business) in the field of software (with affinity to energy topics) or in the field of energy services (with affinity to software)
- Enthusiasm and persuasiveness for energy efficiency, climate protection and energy transition
- Negotiating skills and confidence in closing deals, even for complex contracts
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Initial management experience
