Implementation of an energy management system
ÖKOTEC supported Vantage Towers in implementing an Energy Management System (EnMS) in accordance with ISO 50001 across eight regions and markets in Germany, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Implementation and certification were completed within one year.
The Challenge
With around 86,000 radio towers, Vantage Towers is one of the largest operators of infrastructure for mobile network operators in Europe. Due to customer and certification requirements, Vantage Towers was looking for an internationally active consulting company with experience in energy management, and they chose ÖKOTEC. The short project duration and the different infrastructure in the individual regions posed a particular challenge.
“The ÖKOTEC team responded quickly to our requirements, contributed their in-depth expertise and helped us a lot with practical solutions. As a result, we successfully achieved certification under a tight deadline.“
