Implementation of EnEffCo® and international rollout
EnEffCo® is used as energy efficiency monitoring software at over 20 Mercedes-Benz locations in Europe and the USA, among other places. EnEffCo® was installed decentrally and each location was connected to a central master. This allows the data collected at the individual locations to be evaluated centrally.
The challenge
Mercedes-Benz AG has published climate protection targets. A new energy efficiency monitoring system was needed to meet these targets, manage systems and processes and systematically increase energy efficiency. The heterogeneity of the locations required a solution that could be expanded and flexibly adapted according to requirements.
EnEffCo® enables Mercedes-Benz to standardize its energy management system, reporting and key figures. ÖKOTEC experts supported the implementation, application and exchange of experience.
Solution and implementation
- Pilot use of EnEffCo® at the Berlin site with subsequent global rollout since 2018
- Group-wide development of KPIs and target group-specific reporting
- Further development of EnEffCo® modules and functionalities (use in the energy industry, interfaces, visualization e.g. heat map)
