Energy Consumption

Applying energy efficiently and tailored to demand

Identifying energy consumption as well as the actual demand in the various processes is crucial for energy-optimisation. Energy savings result from adjusting and controlling hot and cooling water temperatures, levels of compressed air or steam pressure and in turn an optimised operating method of ventilation, air condition or lighting systems.

Many companies provide high potentials on waste heat, which can be made accessible systematically. Since electric motors consume a major part of electricity, high cost savings can be achieved through adjustment to engine performance and optimised control of drives.

Case studies for energy saving projects

Our concept for a consistent waste heat utilisation in injection moulding process of a plastics producer has yielded to an almost complete avoidance of fuel supply.

    • energy costs savings:   40,000 € per year
    • pay-back:               2 years
    • return on investment:      50%

With our assistance, an automotive supplier was able to optimise the application of thermo oil as a heat carrier within the processes. Improved control and efficient utilisation of heat- and cooling flows reduced energy costs considerably.

    • energy costs savings:   110,000 € per year
    • pay-back:               2,5 years
    • return on investment:      38%

For a customer from the paper manufacturing industry, as a general contractor for planning and construction we have achieved steam-generation savings using a combination of measueres to optimize their steam consumption, supply and generation.

  • energy costs savings:   120,000 € per year
  • pay-back:               3 years
  • return on investment:      31%
